Majel Barrett Roddenberry, the widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, dies of leukaemia aged 76.

As a dyed in the wood Star Trek fan this can not go unremarked by me.
As all Trekkers will know, apart from being in the pilot episode back in the 1960s, Majel also voiced most of the computers on the USS Enterprise – including in the new film! Amazing lady.
