Samsung N140 Netbook with Windows 7 Starter

Bought – 31st October 2009
Absolutely brilliant!

Just over £300

Why did I choose this model?

White, bluetooth built in, 250gb hard drive, 9 hour + battery life, 10.1 in screen, Windows 7.

This was a direct replacement for:

Archos 5G Internet Tablet

Bought – August 2009
Rubbish for internet browsing, which was my main reason for getting it (got very hot and kept re-booting), brilliant for video and music playback. Has a touch screen – but can use a stylus as well.

This was also just over £300.

Panasonic TZ5 Digital Camera

So good, even my hubby borrowed it when he went to USA for 2 weeks. Great zoom and video recording – almost HD quality.

Digiguide – TV Guide on your PC

DigiGuide, the best TV guide

I use this on both my desktop and netbook so I can not only see what’s on very easily, but I can search for actors, programmes etc really quickly.

For example, I can see when my favourite actors are going to be on in anything at all in the next month or so, or I can search by program name.

We have Sky Satellite TV at home, and Digiguide is really useful as I can list only my favourite channels – or have all of them.

It isn’t expensive for what it does – £14.99 per year – and will save a tree or two.
